The John Nicholas Brown Prize is awarded annually for a first book or monograph on a medieval subject judged by the selection committee to be of outstanding quality. To be eligible, the author must be resident in North America. Books are eligible to be submitted in the third year after the publication date that appears in the book. Prize (of $1,000).
