Organization: Immigration and Ethnic History Society

The Immigration and Ethnic History Society invites submissions for the annual Theodore Saloutos Book Award. The 2016 award will be presented for the book judged best on any aspect of the immigration history of the United States. "Immigration history" is defined as the movement of peoples from other countries to the United States, of the repatriation movements of immigrants, and of the consequences of these migrations, both for the United States and the countries of origin. To be eligible for the award, a book must be copyrighted 2015, must be based on substantial primary research, and must present a major new scholarly interpretation.
