Recognizing the deep disparities in available resources that distinguish institutions across our profession and that ultimately impede exchange between scholars within the broadly defined field of theatre history, the ASTR Grants for Researchers with Heavy Teaching Loads of up to $1000 promotes scholarly and practical exchange among theatre historians by providing research opportunities to scholars at institutions with heavy teaching loads and limited support for scholarship.
