ASN - Vernon R. Young International Award for Amino Acid Research

This award is given to an investigator for a single outstanding piece of research or for a series of papers in a related area of amino acid metabolism completed early in their career (usually interpreted as within ten years of postgraduate training). The award of $2500 and an engraved plaque is supported by an endowment from the Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Candidates for awards need not be members of the Society. However, the awards are usually given to professionally active nutrition scientists.
