Formerly known as the Centrum Center for Nutrition Science Award.This award is given in recognition of recent investigative contributions of significance to the basic understanding of human nutrition. The award of $1500 and an engraved plaque is sponsored by Wyeth Consumer Healthcare. Candidates for awards need not be members of the Society. However, the awards are usually given to professionally active nutrition scientists.
