APA - Latin American Thought

Organization: American Philosophical Association

The purpose of this prize is to encourage fruitful work in Latin American thought. Eligible essays must contain original arguments and broach philosophical topics clearly related to the specific experiences of Hispanic Americans and Latinos. The author of the best unpublished philosophical essay in Latin American thought will be chosen. The essay must be in English and 3,000 words (Word count required with submission.) The winning essay will be published in the APA Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy. The essay must be previously unpublished (when it is submitted and at the time the prize is announced). The author must be a member of the APA at the time of submission and awarding of the prize. The author must accept publication in the Hispanics Newsletter. The author must be neither a current nor a recent member of the Committee on Hispanics.
