AMS - The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Biometeorology

The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Biometeorology is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the theory, teaching, and/or application of knowledge about interactions between the atmosphere and biological systems. Names of nominees are submitted by the Committee on Biometeorology and Aerobiology, with input from the Chair of the Agricultural and Forest Meteorology Committee, to the STAC Commissioner, who reviews the recommendation and then makes a recommendation to the Council for final approval. The award is presented occasionally.
