ACJS - Outstanding Book Award

Organization: Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences

This award is in recognition of the best book published in the area of criminal justice. One must make an extraordinary contribution to the study of crime and criminal justice. Book must be published within three (3) calendar years prior to the meeting at which the award will be given. In general, edited books, textbooks, and serials are not eligible. At least one author must be a member of ACJS at the time the book is nominated. Nominations for the Outstanding Book Award are restricted to members of the Academy. Individuals who are involved in the production of a book, or who have a financial interest in it, may not nominate that book for this award.
