ACJS - Bruce Smith Sr. Award

Organization: Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences

This award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to criminal justice as an academic or professional endeavor. Award recipients are expected to attend the ACJS annual meeting and to make a presentation on their research at that meeting. Membership in the Academy is not a requirement. Demonstration of leadership in the administration of criminal justice as an academic and/or professional discipline in a manner which reflects the highest standards of integrity and performance. Active involvement in criminal justice research or other endeavor which has made substantial contributions to the emerging body of knowledge in criminal justice.
