ASA - Founders Award

In 1988 the Board voted to establish the ASA Founders Award to recognize members who have rendered distinguished service to the Association. Typically, no more than two awards are granted annually, and the award does not have to be granted every year; however, when warranted, up to five awards may be given each year.The individual selected will have served the Association for an extended period of time, usually in a variety of leadership roles, such as, but not limited to, section, chapter, committee, editorial, or officer capacities wherein effective service or leadership was provided within ASA or through ASA outreach to other organizations. Outstanding performance in just one or two capacities, however important, would usually be insufficient to merit this award. The individual's contributions will have had significant impact on the Association beyond the time of her/his incumbency.The award shall consist of a framed certificate and a crystal bowl.
