AHA - The James A. Rawley Prize

The American Historical Association is pleased to announce the establishment of the James A. Rawley Prize in Atlantic History in recognition of outstanding historical writing that explores aspects of integration of Atlantic worlds before the 20th century. The prize was established in accordance with the terms of a gift from James A. Rawley, Carl Adolph Happold Professor of History Emeritus at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.Only books of high scholarly and literary merit will be considered. Research accuracy and originality also will be important factors in the evaluation of the books. Books published between May 1 of the previous year and April 30 of the current year are eligible for the award.
